Event Application
We built AI PhotoBooth so event participants can take a photo on a tablet, place themselves in an AI-generated scene and play different games. Our work covered software development, user flows and experience design. Its white-label structure adapts to each brand and event theme, allowing the same app to deliver different experiences.

At every step, we brought research, design and technology together around one goal.
Working with Haribo and arabam.com on AI PhotoBooth, we designed interactions that participants can complete in a short time at an event. A first-time user needs to understand how to start and reach the result of their chosen experience easily. We built a shared application structure for different brands and events.
We mapped each game mode from its starting screen to its result. Taking a photo, selecting a theme and viewing the generated image follow one flow. Answering questions or listening to an audio clip and choosing an answer follow their own flows.
White-label support forms the basis of these flows. The appearance and experience content adapt to each event. The same infrastructure can offer themed photo generation at one event and a trivia game at another.
We designed the interface for comfortable use on a tablet touchscreen. Information order, touch targets and transitions help participants identify their options and move to the next step. The photo experience also includes screens that show generation is in progress and when the result is ready.
For example, a participant can recreate their portrait in a vintage studio setting or appear in a themed scene. In another mode, they can complete a short quiz or try to recognize a piece of music. These examples illustrate experiences that can change with the brand and event.
We developed the tablet app with Expo and the backend with PHP. Photo capture supports both the built-in tablet camera and an external camera, allowing the app to suit the capture setup used at the event.
The AI integration routes requests to different services according to the selected scenario. A fallback integration switches to an alternative service if an error occurs. AI photo generation, quizzes and trivia modes all run within the same app.
Participants wait an average of 20 seconds for an AI-generated photo. Within that time, we prepare the result for display in the app. The completed tablet application supports multiple game modes and camera options, with a structure that adapts to new brands and event scenarios.
